Description
The best Sidecar recipe will ensure a timeless cocktail that has graced the menus of bars and lounges for over a century. Born in the 1920s, this drink defines the glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties and the Prohibition era.
The name “Sidecar” is believed to have been inspired by an American army captain in Paris during World War I. He was often chauffeured to his favourite bar in a motorcycle sidecar.

- Pour: Strain the mix into your prepared cocktail glass.
- Garnish: A lemon twist or cherry, if desired.
- Sugar Rim: (optional) Run a wedge of lemon around the rim of your glass and dip it into a plate of sugar.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
The Sidecar is a balanced blend of sour and sweet components. I recommend adjusting the lemon juice ratio to your taste as needed. I sometimes prefer a little less lemon. You can also add some Angostura bitters for that extra kick!
