Description
Originally served at the Detroit Athletic Club in the early 20th century, the Last Word is a Prohibition-era cocktail with attitude due to its bright green and herbaceous flavour.
This vibrant concoction uses equal parts gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice for a complex, sweet, sour, and potent combo.
My Last Word cocktail recipe is a teeny-weeny bit stronger than others you may come across. You can thank me later.

Notes
For me, the Last Word is all about balance, where no single ingredient dominates the others. The cocktail’s name, the Last Word, suggests its definitive nature – a drink so perfectly composed that it has the final say in any cocktail debate.
