Description

Named after the mythical cat-like/bat-like creature said to roam the Americas, the El Chupacabra cocktail blends tequila with spicy and sweet elements to create a drink as wild as the beast itself.

With a mix of tequila, Pimms, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and a spicy jalapeño kick, our El Chupacabra cocktail recipe ensures a bold beverage that bites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz or 60 ml Blanco Tequila
  • 1 oz or 30 ml Pimms No. 1
  • 1 oz or 30 ml fresh lime juice (or lemon if you prefer)
  • 1/2 oz or 15 ml Agave syrup
  • 23 Slices of jalapeño
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Lime wheel (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Rim a rocks glass with a lime wedge and dip it into the salt.
  2. Muddle: In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with the agave nectar to release their spicy oils.
  3. Mix: Add tequila, Pimms, lime juice, and ice into your shaker.
  4. Shake: Shake until the mixture is chilled.
  5. Pour: Strain into your rocks glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish: A lime wheel and jalapeño slices.

Notes

The El Chupacabra cocktail’s balance of spicy and sweet is thanks to the addition of jalapeño’s that provides welcoming heat that pairs exceptionally well with the smoothness of tequila and the tartness of lime.
