As one of the most famous of this group, our Corpse Reviver No. 2 recipe uses equal parts gin, orange liqueur, Lillet Blanc, and fresh lemon juice with a cheeky absinthe rinse!
This cocktail is renowned for its ability to awaken the palate with its crisp, tart, and slightly sweet flavours, making it a perfect choice for brunch or an after-dinner refreshment.

- Ice cubes
- Orange peel (for garnish)

- Combine: Combine gin, orange liqueur, Lillet Blanc, and lemon juice into a shaker filled with 2-3 ice cubes.
- Shake: Shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
- Pour: Strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish: A twist of orange peel.
Notes
The Corpse Reviver No. 2 is part of a broader family of cocktails (see our Corpse Reviver No. 1 recipe) historically used as morning hangover cures to bring your body back from the dead.
This particular variant is especially noted for its balance and elegance, often highlighted as a perfect example of the pre-Prohibition cocktail.
